CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

       Yesterday, I celebrated the Chinese New Year. I woke up when the alarm rang at the second time. Dad told me to take a bath quickly as I just got up. Everyone were in a hurry because we actually got up an hour late. I was using the chiang-i dress twinned with my elder sister. My dad and my little brother also twinned using the same shirt and leaving my mom different by herself. After we're all ready, we started the angpao hunting. Angpao hunting is a chinese tradition where people who got married will give red envelopes with money inside and give it to people who are not married yet.
       Our first stop was my dad's mother house. When I arrived, I place my left hand on top of my right hand, hold it together and said to her,"Kionghi,Kionghi". After I said that she gave me the angpao, I didn't open it because my mom didn't allow me. Mom told me that all the money that I have got would be deposited to the bank.Then we ate some chinese food such as babihong, roasted chicken, siomay, kekian and many other kinds. I ate a little because after that I would ate again at my other grandma's house. We left the house and we went ahead to my mom's parents house. I met a lot of my cousins there, I ate again some noodles and fish balls which was very delicious. I got a lot of angpao there though and I waited some times for all the cousins to come. Afterwards, I went to 3 more places for that angpao hunting. All of the places were lived by the old grandma ones which is about 70-80 years old, I also got some angpao from there.
       Finally, we had gone to all of the places and we're done for the angpao hunting! We immediately went home, it was a very tiring day and we stayed at home for the rest of the day.
