      Hi! My name is Alicia and I am going to talk about MAKSI SMPK1 BPK PENABUR 2017.

   MAKSI is the shortened name for Malam Aksi. MAKSI is a big event where talented students of SMPK1 have the opportunity to perform in front of a lot of audience.These students are usually students who are best in non-academic subjects such as dancing, singing, drama and many else.This event is held once every two years and it is opened for public. The tickets prices for this year are VIP=150.000 (include a small box of treats for every seat) and Regular=75.000. The VIP seats are limited as there are only 200 VIP seats. Students who perform can watch the event on the TV screen at the backstage for free but, they should still buy ticket if they want to go to the live event room and watch the event inside. There are also food stalls circling outside the event room for people who want to buy to eat or drink during the break time or before the show.

  This year MAKSI was great and was amazing as I expected it to be. There were a lot of students from SMAK1 BPK PENABUR which are high school students whom contributed for this event. It was sad the there were still a lot of technical errors in this event especially when it came to the singers. But, the dancers were spectacular! Majority of the dancing groups did very well and danced with all of their hearts out. The dancing groups which I most liked were NON3, HYPE AND POINTZXGOLDENCROSS performances. The drama was also great as there were actually many confident actors acting very well.

   There was also an acapella group which I was very interested in when I was watching it, the group was called HEXATONIX. The cool thing about this group was that there was a beat boxer and she really matured the beat box tricks. The bands created by the high school students were fantastic that they cheered up the audience and brought the audience to sing a long.

Overall, the event went well and I can't wait to seek for the next MAKSI two years later...
